We will discuss how to “Future-Proof” a facility from both a clinical and technology perspective and by doing so, can “Obsolete Obsolescence.” We will demonstrate how to maximize work flow, minimize workplace risk (ergonomics) and reduce both construction costs and long-term maintenance and operating expenses.We will discuss at length, the difference between “managing” clinical environments and patient care technology versus merely “dealing” with the space as it was installed.Perception drives reality. The organized patient care environment will support HCAHP score initiatives and reduce wasted time searching for needed clinical supplies, therefore improving patient care.
